Privacy Policy

Private Network is run by Private Network AI Limited, registered in England and Wales. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: contact@privatenetwork.ai.

 

1. What we collect

• Account: name, email address and phone number.

• Profile: photo, location, what you do, what you're looking for, how you could help others, and your community details such as school house and year.

• Using the app: your matches and decisions, feedback, chat messages, reports and blocks, key actions in the app, and your notification settings.

 

2. How we use it

To run your account, suggest introductions, let connected members chat, send you notifications, keep the platform safe and improve it. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Our legal bases under UK GDPR are: providing the service you signed up for, your agreement (for AI), our legitimate interests in safety and improving the service, and legal obligations.

AI: we use Claude by Anthropic to write your profile summary and help find your matches. You agree to this when you sign up. It sees your profile text, not your email or phone number, and it isn't used to train Anthropic's models. Our team reviews every match before it's released.

Other members: a suggested match shows only a short reason, not your name. Your profile is shared once an introduction is sent or accepted.

 

3. Who helps us

Supabase (database and sign-in, EU), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI), SendGrid (email), and Apple and Google (push notifications). Some are based in the US, and we use the safeguards UK law requires. Otherwise we only share data if the law requires it.

 

4. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is open, and activity records for up to 24 months. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Account settings, or at app.privatenetwork.ai/delete-account. Your data is deleted straight away, and removed from backups within 30 days.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or move your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw your agreement.

 

Email contact@privatenetwork.ai and we'll reply within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Choose your notifications under Profile → Notifications.

 

We'll tell you in the app or by email before any important change to this policy.
